My Review:
Toy Story released in the year 1995 marked the successful collaboration of Walt Disney productions with Pixar Studios. The duo went on to make a number of hit animation films such that their success could not be matched by any other production company.
Toy Story was the first film from Walt Disney Productions that had the Computer Animation. Earlier they produced a number of Animation films from sketches and cartoons.
The film is all about a toy named Woody, which remained the favourite toy of its owner Andy, whose existence in the world of Andy is threatened by the arrival of a new toy called Buzz Lightyear. The toys remain toys when Andy is around and they come alive when nobody is around them. Woody’s jealousy towards Buzz makes him to plan deviously against Buzz to reclaim his spot. But unfortunately both Woody and Buzz get lost in the huge town. Now in order to reach the home, they have to take a horrible travel across the house of a Toy killer. What happens to Woody and Buzz?? Is the rest of the film.
The best part of the film is the way the plot reveals. The screenplay is impeccable. Characterization and Animation were at top-notch. Although the film is an animation, by any means the film is at par with the good dramas. The voice behind the characters were really good. I would say this a perfect animation film which marked the golden era for Animators and Animation films.
My Rating: 8.1/10
Recommendation: Watch it!!!!
